TOURISM CONSULTANTS ASSOCIATION (TCA) Terms and Conditions of Membership
By submitting this application for membership to the Tourism Consultants Association (TCA), the applicant agrees to the following terms and conditions:
1. Eligibility
Applicants must be individuals or organizations professionally engaged in tourism consultancy or related fields, and must demonstrate alignment with the Association’s mission and values.
2. Code of Practice and Ethics
All members are required to uphold the TCA Code of Practice and Ethics, which outlines expected professional and ethical standards. Violation of this code may lead to disciplinary action, including termination of membership.
3. Membership Fees
a) A non-refundable application and registration fee is required at the time of applying.
b) An annual membership renewal fee is payable upon expiry of your registration each calendar year.
c) Failure to pay the renewal fee on time may lead to suspension or removal from the TCA membership register.
d) Payments must be made via the official TCA payment channels (bank transfer, mobile money, etc.), and proof of payment must be submitted with the application or renewal form.
4. Application Review
All applications will be reviewed by the TCA Membership Committee. Approval is not automatic and will be confirmed in writing upon acceptance. TCA reserves the right to reject any application that does not meet the required criteria.
5. Member Responsibilities
Once accepted, members agree to:
a) Actively participate in TCA activities, meetings, and professional development events;
b) Maintain high standards of conduct and professionalism in the tourism sector;
c) Keep their contact and professional details up to date with the Association;
d) Abide by decisions made by the Association’s leadership and committees.
6. Termination of Membership
Membership may be terminated under the following circumstances:
a) Voluntary resignation submitted in writing;
b) Continuous violation of the Code of Ethics;
c) Non-payment of fees beyond a 90-day grace period;
d) Any conduct deemed damaging to the Association’s integrity or reputation.
7. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute between a member and the Association, all efforts shall be made to resolve the issue amicably through internal mediation. Unresolved matters may be referred to independent arbitration under the relevant laws of Kenya.
